Art of Ceramic Chicago

The full veneer workflow, practiced hands-on.

Over two days in Chicago you learn the cosmetic workflow Dr. Andi and Dr. Rhodri use for their own patients: the new patient consultation, facially driven treatment planning, direct mock-up design, minimal prep design, shape creation, temporization, photography, lab communication and cementation.

Every section is demonstrated, then done at your own bench with both instructors coaching at every seat. Day one closes with a cocktail party for attendees and faculty. Final seats.

The experience

Two days,
hour by hour.

Lecture, live demonstration, then your own hands. Lunch 1:00 to 2:00 PM both days. Day one closes with a cocktail party.

Day one

8:00 AM — 6:00 PM

  1. The New Patient Experience Protocol

The strategies we use to turn consultations into case acceptance: digital and analog records, patient-friendly consultation language, and our direct consultation mock-up technique, practiced hands-on so it is ready for Monday morning.

  2. Aesthetic Treatment Planning

How to approach cases from simple to complex with the face and patient goals at the center of the plan.

  3. Direct Mock-up Intraoral Design

Designing the ideal arch form and letting final tooth position guide prep design. Tracing, addition and reduction mock-ups in flowable composite until the technique is second nature.

  4. Prep Design Essentials

Minimal yet effective preparation for simple and complex cases, followed by guided hands-on exercises.

  5. Cocktail party · 6:00 — 7:00 PM

Drinks and bites with fellow attendees, faculty and sponsors to close the first day.

Day two

8:00 AM — 4:00 PM

  1. Shape Creation & Refinement

Step-by-step sculpting: add, reduce and refine toward a facially driven design, then practice it hands-on.

  2. Lab Communication Workflow

Scanning, measurements, shade selection and the critical design details that make what you envision what you receive.

  3. Cementation and Case Execution

The details of cementation and workflow for predictable results from start to finish.
